How to install OptiFine on 1.17

Close the game and launcher. Download OptiFabric and place it in the directory .minecraft\libraries\me\deftware\EMC-F-v2\latest-1.17. Download OptiFine (1.17) and place it in the directory .minecraft\mods. Start the game, and OptiFine is added.
If you crash on startup, you probably forgot to place OptiFine in the mods folder. If you are on MultiMC, the directory in step 2 is MultiMC\libraries\...

⚠ OptiFine is not in the addons marketplace for a reason. It causes many bugs with render mods and they will stop working completely. Adding OptiFine manually means that you are doing so at your own risk and you acknowledge any bugs or issues that can happen. ⚠

Either there is no optifine jar file in your mods folder, the one there is outdated, or you have multiple. You need to either uninstall optifine or manually add the correct optifine jar back.

Can you please explain what you are trying to do? Just installing FabricAPI will not add anything to your game.

@walter-white Unfortunately I don't know how it works but you can add numbers ".b farm #" but if you want a feature or help you got to ask the dev of baritone as baritone was created by one of the devs that worked on Impact Client.

if EMC was installed but Aristois isn't, that means you did not copy the libraries over correctly

You can, depending on the Minecraft version.

For 1.16.4 and 1.16.5 it is available in the addon marketplace. (Esc > Addons).
For 1.17, you cannot add it yet, because it's not been released yet.
For any version lower than 1.16.4, you cannot add it (unless forge)
For lower versions of forge, you can download it from their website and add it to your mods folder

No. It's caused by shaders.

@ramsesthe7th You need to download optifabric and optifine and put optifabric in .minecraft/libraries/me/deftware/EMC-f-v2/latest-1.17/ and then put optifine in .minecraft/mods/ and it should work, do note that there probably will be bugs which are currently trying to be fixed and other things that will happen.

@dyiing I think he might not be walking around and just expects it to work effective immediately.

We need more information than that, and a crash log if it crashes.

As mentioned in your other post, you can't install OptiFine to 1.12.2 unless you use forge.

The Addons Marketplace is only for 1.14+ fabric.
