optifine/fabric for 1.17
-
So I still use 1.17 to play realms since it hasn't updated to .1 yet, and I've been trying to install optifine and optifabric for obvious reasons. I have the optifabric installed to .minecraft > libraries > me > deftware > EMC-f-v2 > latest 1.17. And the optifine (preview_OptiFine_1.17_HD_U_G9_pre26) installed to my .minecraft mods folder. And now every time I try to open Minecraft from the launcher, I get this.
I'm not too sure why this is happening. When I take the optifabric out of the location I had it in, it loaded. Anything I'm doing incorrectly?

@hoedak im right about to do that myself, usually when it crashes it has a little popup that says why although yours doesn't seem to have it, i'll see what happens for me though.

@quidd60x let me know what happens

@hoedak just got the newest version of optifine, my mc loaded fine but optifine didn't load at all for some reason, also by 1.17 did you mean 1.17.1 or just 1.17? It didn't work for me either on 1.17.1

@quidd60x 1.17 and it wouldnt load with optifine
-
@hoedak I would need a crash log to tell the issue. It's most likely that you have multiple optifine jars in the mods folder, or one file was misplaced.

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: An error occurred when trying to find the optifine jar: INCOMPATIBLE
Either there is no optifine jar file in your mods folder, the one there is outdated, or you have multiple. You need to either uninstall optifine or manually add the correct optifine jar back.
