You cannot change your name in the IRC. If you are a donor you can set a prefix before your name, but that is it.

Not by default, but its very easy to move over all of your settings. Copy .minecraft/libraries/EMC/1.16.4/configs to EMC/1.17.1/configs

Like it mentions, it cannot correctly download the guava file, possibly because your computer is blocking permissions to download it. You either need to manually download it and place it in the specified directory, or find a way to allow it to download (probably via firewall or antivirus).

It might help also to delete the old corrupt file from .minecraft/libraries/com/google/guava/guava/21.0/ (this is where the new file should manually be placed).

I assumed you meant compatibility with buttons, not a crash. You cannot fix this besides removing the conflicting mod/s

You can download the donor client by logging in at https://aristois.net/login and then going to the download page. Then click "Donor Edition" and install it as normal.

Aristois does not do anything to your render distance. Servers can cap your distance however.

Need a log to help. My guess is that you must delete .minecraft/libraries/EMC since it contains outdated files.

Refused connection simply means that the proxy is not currently available to connect to. You can just try another one.

Sounds like a fabric issue. Remove all addon mods from the same folder.

Fabulous is a shader, which conflicts with Aristois rendering
