1.18 aristois crash on startup no mods

When I open aristois the launcher log opens spits out an error gives crash info and says proceeded with exit code 1 (not successful). No Minecraft game window ever opens.

Latest.log gives only the same error and the same two first lines in launcher log

Preparing to launch Minecraft client for 1.18-Aristois

I am using java 17 and have been since I first noticed it's release.

Delete all files pertaining to Aristois and reinstall:

.minecraft/.fabric
.minecraft/libraries/EMC, net, and me
.minecraft/versions/1.18-Aristois

And the launcher profile.

Didn't work, same response and nothing else changed.

Did this 5 times without success.
