Server Resource Packs freeze the game

I recently joined a server on 1.19.2 that requires you to download a custom resource pack before joining. It starts to download it, but then proceeds to freeze my game. I tried the server on normal vanilla mc and it works, so is it an aristois compatibility issue with the resource pack?

Have you tried allocating more RAM? Do you use any addons?
