My worlds aren't loading and it do anything anything past 'loading terrain'

everytime i try to load a world or anything it just gets stuck on loading terrain and then crashes and i dont know why

It's a bug between EMC and optifine, where your options file has an invalid setting.
You should change the maxFps line in the options.txt (to something like 120), otherwise you will need to delete that file, start Aristois without OptiFine and go in-game (to generate the options), then install OptiFine afterwards
