not letting me load into games

I load into a servers lobby and everything is fine. I Click a npc to join a server and it loads for a while then just sends me to the main screan, Im still in the game though, I can hear things going on around me. Help!

Do you have OptiFine or any texture packs? You should be able to join back if you click the server again
