IRC Commands issue

I'm not sure if its something that I've done, but I can't use basic minecraft commands because of Aristois. Any time I try to type a command, such as /give it always defaults to Aristois telling me the command doesn't exist. I can't even change anything on my own SERVER without opening my servers console because of this.
