I had created a schematic file by installing world edit to the client. I originally saved it as a .schem file in a dedicated schematics directory in the root of .minecraft. When I loaded up minecraft and opened a new world to make sure the schematic was built correctly, I got the following error when trying to run the build command:

"Couldn't load the schematic. Make sure to use the FULL file name. including the extension (e.g. blah.schematic)"

I then closed minecraft and then double checked where it was saved and the spelling of the directory and noticed there was a dedicated baritone folder on the root of .minecraft that was already created. I dragged and dropped the schematic folder into there hoping that would solve the issue but I still got the same error. Here is what the file path looks like.

Have you read somewhere that it should be placed in the baritone folder? Unless they changed something recently it should just be .minecraft/schematics/(schem.schem)

You also need to ensure the file is actually a .schem and not a renamed litematic or schematic as this is common for causing corrupt files.

@Dyiing So I moved the schematics directory to the root of my .minecraft folder and then try making a new schematic with //schematics save sugarcanefarm. I moved it from .minecraft/config/worldedit/schematics (which is the default location minecraft saves these files) to the recently moved .minecraft/schematics directory. I then closed minecraft and check the properties tab of the file in question (which can be seen here). Reopening minecraft and running the @build command again still gives the same error.

P.S, removing .schem from the text box on that property page causes the file type to change to a generic file format, so it definitely does not have a double file extension in the name

It’s not an issue of a double extension, but the wrong format. I don’t think that applies here as you made the schematic.

Can you send a screenshot of the new file directory?

Have you tried other names? Other builds? Downloaded ones? I would guess it’s something specific with the file

@Dyiing The double extension test was done just to rule out any weirdness with the file name.

To answer your question here is a screenshot of the schematic directory

The schematic I redid was renamed differently from the original and still gave the error. I also just made a simple schematic of a three by three by two cube made out of logs and the error still occurred (this one was also a .schem as well). This means that it isn't an issue of the build itself because the sugar cane farm that was turned into a .schem was a downloaded build that I then slightly modified. I did delete both of the schematics in .minecraft/config/worldedit/schematics in case it was an issue of a file location conflict but that didn't solve the issue either.

Interestingly, the @build command is able to autocomplete the names of the two schematic files, so it seems like baritone can see it, but can't build it for some reason. if you want, I can upload the two schematics to MEGA if you want to see if the error occurs on your end with the schematics.

I'm going to try to remove baritone from the addon marketplace and then delete the baritone file in .minecraft and then reinstall it to see if it is some weird bug with the baritone install itself

Go ahead and send them. A link to the WorldEdit you’re using would also be useful

I will test later tonight or tomorrow and let you know. Apparently my schematics folder contains a corrupt file that crashes baritone 🙃

It's definitely an issue with WorldEdit maybe corrupting the files or producing files Baritone cannot used. Downloading other schematics from online work, but not ones generated by this.

@Dyiing that's weird. What would you reccommend using instead if I want to use schematics with baritone?

@Dyiing I look into it. I was mainly wanting to be able to use schematics in servers where I wouldn't have access to worldedit otherwise
