I've used SeedcrackerX to find the seed of a server I'm playing on since they use an anti-Xray that blocks my view completely with layers of ores. I've confirmed that the seed is accurate using ChunkBase by comparing structures and biomes. I'm 100% sure that the seed is accurate.

I've provided the seed to Seedray but the blocks it highlights are incorrect for all ore types. I was wondering if there could be an issue on my end, or if the server owner may have used a plugin that changes ore generation to prevent this method of bypassing X-ray.

So far, I've attempted the following to try and troubleshoot:

    • Cycling through SeedRay's "World generation version",
    • Enabling and disabling "Unknown Dimension"
    • Ensuring that the seed I provided to SeedRay is accurate.

I have a feeling that It's due to a plugin since SeedRay isn't showing ores in impossible places, e.g. floating mid-air.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it, but if not I'll just stick with the exposed ore X-ray for now.
Thanks in advance for your time.

I play in SP and the same happens to me. There's something wrong with the Mod, I guess.
A plugin that changes ore generation could also be the reason, but as it also happens in SP.
So my guess is, the Mod itself is broken.

    Just to update:

@Talvkes made a good point that it may just be a broken mod, so I went into singleplayer, ran /seed, and then provided that to SeedRay. It highlights incorrect blocks. So I can confirm that it's an issue with the mod, at least in 1.21

I believe that it does have issues in 1.21 that are being looked into.
