Cant Rebind keys.

It seems i cannot rebind my keybinds no matter what i try, iv tried using the gui, iv tried using the .setbind command, and nothing. it opens the rebind screen but wont register any of my keyboard presses, only mouse clicks...
side note, i have a friend who is trying to use aristois but it wont let them open the gui, and .setbind gui doesnt open anything..
