Do you mean the black outline when you look at a block? I think that is handled via shaders, as I know some shaderpacks modify it.

@dyiing Can you do a function like this in your client? There is a mod "https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/custom-selection-box-port", but it hasn't been updated for a long time. It would be cool if something like this appeared in your client.

It looks like someone made a fork and PR for 1.17.x support on that mod: https://github.com/NKID00/CustomSelectionBox-New

I cloned the fork and built it by running the build.bat
