@repomeister This is something to do with how multimc checks and updates libraries, as Aristois is designed for the official launcher not much will be done to fix this but there is a simple way. Another note you don't need to delete the me folder, just the EMC jar inside your version, but if you follow the next steps you won't have to.
To fix this right-click the instance and click edit instance, then click the Version tab on the left. Next, select the Aristois in the list and then on the right, click customize. Once the file is open in a text editor add the following line after the first 3 libraries:

 "MMC-hint": "always-stale"

make sure to add a comma after the link above, see the screenshot.

After that save the file and all should be good, auto-updating should work. If you have any problems do let me know

@ruv6 It's likely your account was still activated, head over to https://aristois.net/user/login and follow the steps to log in and then you might be able to download the donor version from there.

@lucifer4342 Baritone has not been updated to 1.17 so there is no way to use it currently

@sol This seems to be a bug on our side, to fix this you will need to manually edit the forge version JSON to add the altening library. Follow these steps:

1. Go to .minecraft/versions/(MC version)-forge-(forge version)/ and open the (MC version)-forge-(forge version).json with a text editor. For example, it could be 1.16.4-forge-35.1.0 as the folder and 1.16.4-forge-35.1.0.json as the file

2. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the file and add these lines after the second of the last curly bracket (also add a comma)

3. In the end it should look like this, do make sure the brackets match and that there is a comma at the bracket you pasted on, look closely

4. Save the file and close it, close your game and launcher then re-open the launcher and launch.

5. That's it! this should fix your problem but if it does not or you crash then you can try to follow these things:
   Make sure the things you added to the file match the screenshot and make sure it is saved.
   Make sure you closed the launcher and the game.
   If you still need help then send a https://paste.ee of your JSON file and/or the crash if it does crash so I can help further.

@topdoggerv2 is there a me folder in the libraries folder? because in that should be a deftware folder and then in that should be the EMC-f-v2 folder.

@esttgnd You do not have the same crash, they were trying to load 1.17 fabric where you are loading 1.10.2 forge which is extremely different and not related, there is no crash in your log so I don't know what your problem is, its also likely there is an incompatible mod, in that case, there isn't much you can do.

@ramsesthe7th You need to download optifabric and optifine and put optifabric in .minecraft/libraries/me/deftware/EMC-f-v2/latest-1.17/ and then put optifine in .minecraft/mods/ and it should work, do note that there probably will be bugs which are currently trying to be fixed and other things that will happen.

@borrito Unfortunately we don't support unofficial/cracked launchers, you can try to delete the me folder in .minecraft/libraries/ but no further support will be given
