Account verification issues

I donated Aristois around 2020 and got access to the Donor Edition. However, since then, my account has been hacked once, my nickname has changed twice, and it has been migrated to a Microsoft account. Now when I try to log in, I get an error message saying "There is no Aristois account associated with this Minecraft account." How does Aristois determine the account? Is it the UUID or the nickname? If they verify the account by nickname, then I can no longer access it because the nickname has been taken by someone else.
P.S. I think there was a field to enter a nickname when making a payment in the past. Hmm..
