Downloading into a modpack

Ive been trying to install aristois into a modpack but i cant figure out how, ive tried using the manual install zip along with the installer, Ive been trying to install it into a custom mod pack my friends made and host a server with and i wanna use the dupe command because i know it works unlike these other duping methods ive tried.
