TL;DR at the bottom
I tried searching for something similar to this but I couldn't find a post so I'm making a suggestion for it here. I would like to suggest (and request politely) that Aristois supports the Quilt modloader moving forwards for the Fabric-esque side of mods.
If Aristois already does support Quilt, I was not aware and would possibly then request how to make it work and what not as I have tried in the past and have not been able to get it to work. As far as I know at this point, it doesn't support the Quilt modloader and Quilt mods. The reason I suggest adding Quilt modloader support is a few reasons:
- Quilt supports a majority of Fabric mods anyways so its pretty cross-compatible with existing Fabric mods (and requests can be made to allow Quilt to support mods that aren't supported)
- Fabric had controversy in the past that caused Quilt to be made in the first place (TL;DR: transphobic lead dev, not great API support for aspects of the game (biomes, dimensions, multipart, etc), and so on)
- More mods to play around with with Aristois:
I feel that this would be good possibly for Aristois considering there seems to be a sizable chunk that does use Aristois with mods.
Again, I think it would be great for Aristois to support Quilt and that it would be a great benefit to the Aristois community. If it can't be added or will take time TO be added, I will equally understand both ways and respect the answer regardless. Thank you for your time!
TL;DR:
Requesting and suggestions Quilt modloader support for Aristois. If it exists, I was unaware and wish to know how to properly load using it instead of Fabric and their APIs. 3 suggestions: Cross-compatability with Fabric exists and is ever-growing, Fabric API controversy, and benefit to the modded Aristois users.
