Sodium Doesn't work with Aristois
-
I am trying to get a performance boost, and I am using fabric with sodium to do so. First, I tried the addons you can get through the client, and then I tried to download the fabric API, and Sodium from forge (1.19.2, the version I am playing on), and I dragged them into the folder where the mods are supposed to go. Either way, when I log into a world - single-player or multiplayer - I don't see anything. I do not have a texture pack active, and putting one on doesn't do anything.

@woolgnu said in Sodium Doesn't work with Aristois:
fabric API, and Sodium from forge
This statement conflicts itself, Forge and Fabric are different loaders.
It's probably due to a setting you have
-
@dyiing I'm sorry, curse forge is what I meant
-
@woolgnu When you speak about where the folder where mods are supposed to go, which statement are you saying?
- I put them in the "mods" folder in .minecraft
OR - I put them in the "latest-1.19.2" folder found in ".minecraft\libraries\me\deftware\EMC-F-v2\latest-1.19.2"
If #1:
That's the wrong folder to put the mods in.
If #2:
That's the correct folder and the situation is a bit odd.Another question:
You say when you get into a world (regardless of SP or MP), you don't "see anything". Your screenshot proves that. My question is this: Are you using any other mods besides Sodium? Also another thing, it's not exactly recommended to replace the Fabric API jar that's downloaded through Aristois addons with one downloaded from CurseForge as from my experience, it usually doesn't work and/or its very finicky and you need to properly rename it so that Aristois will recognize it as the Fabric API jar.
Regardless of your answers to the two questions above, I am suggesting in your next reply to this thread, you post a log of your game loading into Singleplayer with this issue happening.
- I put them in the "mods" folder in .minecraft

FabricAPI works without renaming it, the only difference is that the Aristois one might be slightly outdated. The current build used is 0.60.0. FabricAPI is not even required for Sodium to run though.
Since it's a render issue and no texture packs are used, it's most likely that it's a specific setting or as you mention, a mod conflict.
I'd recommend doing the following one-by-one, continuing to the next one if the previous didn't change anything:
Remove all mods besides Sodium
Disable all Aristois modules
Eject Aristois (.unload command)
Delete/move the game settings (.minecraft/options.txt
and.minecraft/config/sodium-options.json
If none of those work, I would confirm it works on Fabric loader itself
